The Ember Year
Every stone we work with formed over hundreds of thousands of years — long before anyone was here to name it. What people did, much later, was notice how minerals seemed to sit with different parts of the year: a dark, earthy stone for the months when everything goes quiet, a pale one for the months when it opens back up.
We laid our stones out the same way — twelve months, gathered into four seasons. Every month carries a stone, a meaning, and two signs of the zodiac; every season carries three of them.
